The saying told us ‘a few bad bananas spoil the virtuous’.
What about our own traits? I believed everyone have their own strengths and weaknesses,
goods and bad characteristics. So, are we considered bad because of some of our
bad did?
Over the years I have met quite a few people who claim to be
honest and value honesty above all else. My response has always been ‘We all
lie. You’re lying to me right now’. What matters most is what we choose to lie
about and to whom. If not, then why my religion ‘ISLAM’ permit people to lie
for peaceful.
Sincerely telling you all, I felt guilty whenever I lied but
in the event only my heart said maybe I shouldn’t do that and that…the rest of
my body including brain starts to convince me that it was a good idea. In the end, my acts listen
with the majority opinions that lead me to lie. I lie to get more money,
getting the position that I desire. My heart whispered ‘If honesty can get us
ahead, why lie’, however others parts of body said ‘the complexities of
everyday life do not reward honesty so you need to lie.’
To conclude my post today, LIE is not always wrong. Don’t
assume someone is bad because of he’s lying to his employer. He just wants to
benefit from cheating and get as much money to help his poor family. On the
other hand, we want to view ourselves as honest, honorable people. Sadly, it is
this kind of small-scale mass cheating, not the high-profile cases, that is
most corrosive to society… ‘quoted from Dan
Ariely’
